Be careful on the medium difficulty section because at the 2nd river crossing it appears as if the trail goes straight uphill rather than across the water. I made that mistake a month ago and wasted an hour off trail. Otherwise, everything is straightforward with plenty of directional signs along the way. The warm weather is bringing out the snakes though, as I saw a few yamakagashi.

This mountain is surprisingly tiring and reaching the top doesn't bring with it the feeling of accomplishment one usually gets summiting. The road and picnic area on top really sort of dampens the mood. Still, it's perfect for training or as a quick retreat from the city. I've climbed it twice now, and the 2nd time I cut my time down considerably. It's a safe place to push yourself.
