It was quite hot and humid today. The highest temperature on this day was 36.4 degrees centigrade.
But I tried climbing Mt. Goi(五井山) from Myozen-in temple(妙善院).
The wind was blowing, which is unusual for summer, I felt slightly cool in the forest and on the top of the mountain.
Although I climbed slowly, taking occasional breaks, I was sweating profusely.
It took 45 minutes to climb and 28 minutes to go down.
Mt.Goi is the highest mountain in Gamagori City, whose height is 454 m.
On the summit, there was a spectacular view of Mikawa Bay(三河湾). I could see Toyohashi City(豊橋市), Gamagori City(蒲郡市), Oshima (大島; a large island), Takeshima (竹島; a bamboo island), Saku Island(佐久島), Atsumi Peninsula(渥美半島), Chita Peninsula(知多半島), Nishiura Peninsula(西浦半島) and so on.


今日はかなり蒸し暑く、最高気温は36.4℃でした。
ですが、妙善院から五井山に登ってみました。
夏にしては珍しく風が吹いていたので、林の中や山頂では若干涼しく感じました。
時折休息しながらゆっくり登りましたが、流汗淋漓でした。
登り45分台、下り28分台でした。
五井山は蒲郡市の最高峰です。
山頂からは三河湾を一望する絶景が広がっていました。豊橋市、蒲郡市、大島、竹島、佐久島、渥美半島、知多半島、西浦半島などが見えました。
