感想
The 12 km trail ( part of SAT 221) begins with a steep ascent of nearly 700 meters over the first 3 kilometers. The weather was perfect, and the stunning scenery made the effort worthwhile, leaving me feeling refreshed and content.
The peaks surrounding Lago di Vacarsa, Lago Garzoné, and Lago di San Giuliano?such as Corno Alto, Spadalone, La Cingla, and La Costaccia?are still capped with snow. You can also spot glacial features, though these are limited to smaller glacierets or rock glaciers.
Approaching Refugio Giuliano, I cautiously navigated a 40-minute stretch where patches of lingering snow made the footing uncertain. The remaining 7 km descent followed a forest trail with rocky terrain scattered with stones of various sizes. The final two and a half kilometers transitioned onto a peaceful trail, offering views of the peaks, green valleys, and villages.
Note: The hiking itinerary connecting these lakes is well-known for its scenic beauty and includes paths such as SAT 230 and SAT 221, passing by mountain huts like Malga Campo and Malga San Giuliano, and features an old sanctuary by Lago di San Giuliano.
While these lakes are in the broader Dolomite region, they are specifically situated in the Adamello-Presanella area, which is adjacent to the Dolomites proper. The itinerary offers spectacular views of the Dolomiti di Brenta, part of the Dolomites mountain range.
