The hike to Rifugio Stevia (2,312 m) provides breathtaking views of some of the most iconic Dolomite mountain groups including Sella (a massive plateau of dolomite rock formations), Sassolungo (Langkofel) Group, known for its striking peaks, Odle, and Cir Peaks (distinctive sharp summits).

The route includes steep climbs, via trail 17A and then 17, where the trail gets narrower and involves some exposed sections with steep drops, making it not suitable for those who are faint-hearted or afraid of heights.

On path 17A through the woods near Selva Val Gardena, you can find impressive life-sized wooden sculptures of local wildlife such as deer, owls, chamois, foxes, squirrels, marmots, hares., grouse, rock partridges, and even adders.

The Sciliar Massif is visible from the Refugio Juac, where you can take a break, have something to eat and drink, and enjoy the picturesque meadows before heading back to the car park.
