This dove-shaped route, known as 汐鴿“Peace Dove” route, was initiated more than ten years ago by 李文能 Leo Lee in Taipei. Anyone can complete it on foot or by bicycle. At the highest point, around 400 meters above sea level, there is a QR code displayed on a large panel for an optional online 汐鴿認證Completion Certification. Using electric bicycles is highly recommended for this challenging trail. If you are using a YouBike 2.0, the public bike system, make sure the e-bike’s battery is at more than 80% capacity before you start. This will give you peace of mind and ensure the bike functions well on the steep slopes.
Fortunately, on July 30th, a clear sky proclaimed the perfect day for the route. Leo personally led the way, and I was able to successfully complete the Peace Dove 🕊️ route.
