Nishiusutsuka car park has a fantastic view of Mount Fuji. At about 1,200m the nearby park is a great spot to visit at this time of year. The woods are very open, broadleaf trees including beech (buna), kaede and momiji - the lest two of these being the Japanese trees most closely associated with the autumn colors in Japan.

Sadly a number of the paths around Nishiusutsuka were closed off with notes about the trail being difficult to find (although as these are only very short sections around Nishiusutsuka itself.
