The climb up to Kagenobo-yama is one of the more pleasant climbs up to the various ridges connecting Takao, mainly through broadleaf trees and not too hard. It is far nicer than the harder climb up to the top of Jinba-san from Jinba kougen shita (that is, the descent at the end of this route).

This route includes two of the best views in the area, from the top of Kagenobo-yama and Jinba-san. The paths between are very well maintained, with no difficult sections but at this time of the year the view from the ridge line is fairly limited most of the time.

We took one of the "maki-michis" (traverses around the smaller peaks on route) and found a single bench with a very nice view towards the south and Lake Sagami. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo, so am not sure of the location but have to remember to look out or this next time.
