It was an eventful 2 days with many of the strongest 山スキー weekend warriors coming out to play. We met 遅刻軍団 in the parking lot of 立山アルパイン村, followed by the Team Rapie at 折立、and finally 谷さん、わこさん、おかぴ on day 2.

The hike was long, and I made it a bit longer by running back to help ミッチー carry some stuff because we started a but earlier than him and I felt bad about leaving him behind. It turns out pregnant Chiho is much faster than most people expect.

After leaving our stuff at camp, we hiked to the 避難小屋 and skied the strip of snow back down. I was able to get some sick drone shots. After that, we built a kicker and took some sunset shots before going to sleep.

The second day was very eventful. We first started off with the 中央カール、which had softened up nicely. I took a very aggressive entrance, jumping the cornice, and ended up losing control in the soft snow and soft boots. I was unharmed, but wataru crashed much faster than me and damaged a ligament in his knee. Luckily, we were able to help him climb out to the 非難小屋, but when he tried to walk down, his leg was not having it. We ended up calling a heli, and he was choppered out of there within a couple hours. That heli rescue is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in the mountains.

After that, it was a tough descent carrying Wataru's gear down. It's been a while since I've hit my limit in the mountains, but I was definitely operating at the edge until Tange and Fujita climbed back up to help us out with the final stretch of the descent.

There are a lot of things to reflect on here, including my encouragement of dangerous behavior. I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who offered a hand that day - Okapi, Tani, Wako, 遅刻軍団, and of course the other members of our party.
