鋸岳は難しいという印象がありますが、このルートを使うと、そうでもありません。

10キロの林道は良い状態です。3キロは舗装されていって、その後は砂利です。
自転車(MTB)はお勧め。しかし、工事用ダンプトラックが多いので、日曜日はBetter。

登山道には、ペンキとテープがありますので、気をつけば、迷うことはありません。
そして、クサリ、ハシゴは一切にない!

登りが急ですが、登りやすいです。
2500mの上、ちょっとした雪が残っていますが、アイゼンはいりません。

感想

天気予報は最高でした。買ったばかりの最初のマウンテンバイクを乗ってみたかった。
経験がないので、とりあえず簡単な砂利道が無難と思って、釜無川ゲートからの林道へ。

ハナは今年8才になる、そろそろ力が落ち、背負って登る時が来ます。
それをかねて、今日、自転車 + ハナ背負う + 新緑を楽しむ目的で、出かけました。

しかし、10キロ林道が終わると、登らないともったいない。とりあえず、富士川の源流に行きましょう。

すると、雪が全然なくて、もっと登ってみる。その気持ちでどんどん上に行く、なんと頂上を達成。
他の登山者、一人もいませんでした。

I think hana-chan likes snow than hot trail !

I tumbled down on the short log bridge on Sunday .

Though I ware long trousers, I got hurt around my knees.
I think you'd wear support tights under short pants .

What a nice Climbing !
How do you do ! Mr,Hanameizan.
My name is pasocom, One of Yamareco members.
I live in Kai-City,near by Kamanashi-river.
So I've wanted to see a start-point of the river.
But Mountain Guide books say "Mt. Nokogiri-dake is very difficult for climbing, It's for only Specialists".
So I abandoned climbing to Nokogiri-dake.
Now I saw your report of Nokogiri-dake,
I became to think that I can climb that mountain too.
I've encouraged very much with you.
Thank you.
Someday I'll surely Climb Nokogiri-dake !

One of unfulfilled mountains out of 100 Yamanashi mountains.

It has always been on my mind but I have not
ventured into it yet.

One of the biggest stumbling block is space for
parking and long Rindo walk.

You managed by a mountain bike but,,.
I will manage by walking, anyway.

Advise, please, where you parked your cars.

Hi Pasocom,

Thank you for your message. I recognize your handle-name.

You live close to me, and even closer to Nokogiri!
I think the hardest part is the 10km rindo.
The trail in the forest has many pink/red tape, so the route is easy if no fog.

Up to 2600m is steep, but very safe. At that point, you must turn right (you can see Nokogiri on the right). Please check my previous report and photo No. 12:

From there, the route goes up and down the rocky ridge to the summit. Take care with your feet in the haimatsu.

If you climb in good weather, and go slowly on the rocky ridge, it is safe and not difficult.

You are right - the rindo is long and boring. If you go on a weekday, try hitchhiking with a truck driver! But mountain bike is the best way if you have one, or even mama-chari.


I parked the car by the gate. Perhaps not allowed, but it was Sunday. There are other places by the roadside you could park in the last kilometer before the gate. I think the workmen don't care.

I look forward to your detailed, useful trip report. I am very lazy about writing reports in Japanese (as you know!).

PS - This route is definitely the safest. When on the summit, I heard a truly *massive* rockfall lasting perhaps 30 seconds, I think in the gareba on the south side. Lethal.

Thanks for the comment. But I am a complete amateur with a camera, and only started playing with movie mode this year. It's fun, but takes too long.

Yes, I had read your trip report and seen the bike photo. Panasonic BD1? I wondered if it was unstable on the rough road?

I hope to meet you again on some mountain this year.

Mt.Nokogiri by bike
My bike is not Panasonic BD1, it's unfamous one.

It was really unstable on that rough road as you say. It's like horse ride. That was wrong choice.

I use another one next time.
