Mt. Naeba is a volcano with an elevation of 2,145 meters that spans the southern part of Niigata Prefecture and the northeastern part of Nagano Prefecture. The east side of the mountain is a famous ski resort and Mt. Naeba is also one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan.
There are lovely mushrooms, strange trees, and small and large rocks along the way, and it is also the flower season. From beginning, the trail is quite easy, but between the 6th and 8th station, the trail becomes steeper and there are several climbing and chain sections. After we passed the 8th station, the scenery opened up, with vast wetlands and small and large swamps, which made us super excited 🥰.
It suddenly became a little foggy and made the whole wetland look like a fairyland on the way down. The beautiful chirping of the birds made us feel so calm and comfortable.
