扇沢手前、柏原新道入口に駐車スペースがあります。扇沢（車で2分上）にトイレがあります。

柏原新道は三日前から開通になりました。道を迷うことはありませんが、標高2100−2400mの間は歩きずらいです。

だから、ケルンの先、柏原新道から脱出、
尾根にある冬登山へ登る。残雪・森のラッセル
は相当時間かかりました。

爺ヶ岳へ。もうちょっと雪があった方が楽。
途中から、左側に雪がなくて、薄っぺら道を見つけた。

あと一ヶ月もっと楽になるはず。

天気よくていいな
鉄平トリミングしてすっきり。
天気が良くないから残念。藪こぎはダニがついて困ります。
出かけるのは、雪があったほうがいいですね

最近の雨ばかりは嫌ですね。犬もいらいらする。
昨日の良い天気を逃したくなくて、仕事を無視した！

この季節に、ダニは大変ですね。トリミング後の鉄平クンを今度見せてください。

Hypothermia!
There was a woman who climbed Mt.Ziigatake independently on May 4.
On May 5,she was discoverd near the summit.Then she was consciousness losing.
Death was confirmed although she was carried by helicopter.
The cause of death is regarded as hypothermia.

Thank you for informing me of the sad news. It is shocking to hear that a woman lost her life so recently on the same mountain, during GW when there were many other climbers to assist.

It is a timely reminder that there is always hidden danger in the mountains. Thank you.

I heard the sad story, too, but your photo of
flower and story from Tanigawa san are great
reminder of that.

I do dislike driving, but no choice! I'm always impressed how people drive for 4-5 hours from Tokyo to hike in the beautiful N. Alps.

As you probably know, Suwa SA now has Starbucks on both 上り線 and 下り線. Essential medicine.

The hike was slower this year because of so much snow (compared with 2008: http://www.yamareco.com/modules/yamareco/detail-30493.html).

But it's such a beautiful route that perhaps it is better to hike slowly and enjoy the views!
