I was there on the same day!
Wow! You made it less than 7 hours!? That's awesome!
Actually, my husband and I went Kitahotaka-dake on Sunday morning and walking down to Kamikochi in the afternoon. We arrived at the bus terminal around 16:00 and there were two long queues waiting for the buses. You got there much earlier so maybe you didn't see but they said it will take for 2 hours and a half to get a bus. We thought that's ridiculous so we changed to a taxi but it still took an hour to get in.... :((

Hi Cosalinda-san, thanks for your comment. It's a pity I just missed meeting your party of three.

2.5 hours to wait for a bus on Sunday afternoon? And the queue on Monday must have been even longer... Sorry, but I only had to wait 15 minutes! Still, I regretted going by bus and vowed to take my bicycle next time. Or go on a weekday.

Anyway, looks like you enjoyed a sunny Sunday.
